Events & WSTC Meetings 2007-2008 Season
We welcome visitors at our meetings, normally held on the first Thursday of the month (November through April) at 7PM. Currently, we meet at Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI), 222 Yale Ave. North, Seattle, WA. Come early (6PM) for the social hour, which precedes the meeting. Visitors are also welcome at special potluck events, held at other locations to start the season in October and end the season in May.

WSTC Monthly Meeting: Dane Doerflinger will talk about using a map and compass, with a focus on making it interactive and entertaining. Dane brings some diversified outdoor leadership skills to the meeting. He has been a river guide, telemark ski instructor, search and rescue leader, and climbing leader, to name a few. |

Ski Swap for XC, SKATE, Telemark, and Randonee Gear
Bring your XC, Telemark or Randonee ski or snowshoe gear, clothing and accessories for kids and adults to sell at the U-sell Nordic Ski Swap.
Or come and buy ski or snowshoe to outfit yourself, your family or friends for the winter. If selling, bring your gear to set up at 5:30 PM, you sell it, and donate 15% of proceeds. Can’t attend Nordic ski swap but have gear to donate? We accept donations of quality ski and snowshoeing gear and accessories, which we will sell and donate 100% of proceeds to the beneficiary programs. Our fun, casual meetings are a great way to meet fellow skiers, hear interesting speakers on ski-related topics, and sign up for club ski trips. Meeting are open to members and non-members alike. There is no charge. All meetings start at 7PM and go to 9PM (except the potlucks). Many members gather for a social hour at the meeting place beginning at 6 pm.
Directions:
From the south (northbound I-5): take I-5 to the Olive Way exit. Follow Olive Way east to Bellevue Ave. Turn left on Bellevue and left on Denny Way. Cross over the freeway, then turn right on Pontius Ave. and right again on Thomas St. REI is on the right at 222 Yale Ave; free parking is available in the garage.
From the north (southbound I-5): take I-5 to the Stewart St. exit. Stewart crosses Yale Ave north. Take a right on Yale. REI is one block north.
