You’ll learn about the different techniques from long-time skiers and get your questions answered about what will work best for your level of fitness, interests and lifestyle. Whether you want a leisurely outing on groomed track, a vigorous trek on steep terrain or an adventure that’s somewhere in between, you’ll leave inspired to try a winter sport.

You’ll also learn about the equipment—skis, boots and bindings— you’ll need for the technique you choose, from REI’s expert staff. Free or fixed? Metal or non-metal? Skinny or fat? Fish scales or skins? The more you know, the more fun you’ll have.
 

We’ll briefly review upcoming one-day and overnight trips and touch on club business. At the end of the night we’ll give away a $50 REI gift card so you can start getting your gear right away!

Skiing is best (and most safe!) when shared with others. Bring a friend or two and learn together.
