For new members of the group I consider this an easy to moderate back country ski. All open road and meadow, with the relatively steep ascent up to heather meadows. Then once at top rolling up and down hills with outstanding views and a lot of space for dogs to roam. Minimum 5 miles rt and 1100 feet of gain. Highly recommend only backcountry metal edge skies and skins. Since as I said that 1100 feet is all in the first mile or so. Although I have done it without skins, but a lot of sweaty effort. Avalanche gear not necessary not skiing near any avalanche prone slopes, all open meadow once at top. Right now the current weather predictions sound OK for Sunday. Just a chance of snow showers and cloudy. If things change up there between now and then, windy, heavy snow fall will postpone for another day.
